Postfossil is inviting designers from around the world to design a flag for the Earth using the aims for sustainable development set out by Agenda 2030 as a basis. The flags will be made and hoisted in an installation on the hill of the Old Botanical Gardens in the centre of Zurich. The former fortress will become the visual hub for a young international design movement over four days, its creation reflecting the condition of the natural world, society and our planet, making statements and elaborating solutions. The flags reflect future society, bringing unification to the fore.
All flags are exhibited for the first time in the Old Botanic Garden during the Design Biennale Zurich 2017. Under the title "Hello Future" the Biennale takes place at six different locations in the City and is accompanied by a wide program.
